Thanks

I know this is from a while back, but I just wanted to say thanks. I just found out today that the Debian installer now has the non-free firmware included. I had started using Debian since potato (or just thereafter, never really used potato much). And I begrudgingly moved to (X)Ubuntu after sarge because I had laptops and could no longer afford to have my only viable networking (wifi) not work with an initial install. Once you have a network connection, all other things can be corrected from the system itself without a helper system.

So what has it been--about 2 decades later? Maybe just in time so I don't have to deal with this horrible Ubuntu snap nonsense anymore.
